The website isn't being hacked, your son is subscribing to premium on Runescape and yes the first couple of charges are a dollar, then they hit you. You done good - you canceled the card. Now have a talk with your son about doing things like this without talking to you about it.

Chances are, the Runescape account has nothing to do with it. Someone has hacked your credit card, and used it for Runescape, probably a kid hacker, that put a keylogger on your computer
scan your computer with Anti Virus and Anti Spyware software, and delete the virus. After that, make sure your credit card is safe, that comes second (After making sure your computer is safe) If you child is using your credit card, i recommend a lecture.

Jagex probably not getting hacked, they are a huge company and why would the hacker from California (If he truely is) hack you? And Jagex would probably detect fraud, or you can tell them about this, and they will try to fix the problem.

On Runescape, there is an account called "Member" and it costs 5 bucks a month, for better items, and more access to other areas in the Runescape world. I do not know why you were charged 1 dollar...The hacker is most likely checking whether you really care about 1 dollar, and then racking up bogus charges. It is known as "testing" the credit card.
