100% cotton, unless pre-shrunk or pre-washed, will always shrink. To minimize this, wash in cold water and dry on low or air dry. Any garment up to 50% cotton, still can shrink slightly. Just a rule of thumb, the higher the % of cotton, the greater the shrinkage. Garments under 50% cotton will not shrink. 100% polyester will never shrink. Polyester and cotton combos will not shrink as long as poly % is higher than cotton and cotton % is 50% or less. Rayon, linens, and all natural fibres can shrink a lot. Most synthetic fibres do not shrink. The label should help you decide how to care for the garment. Happy cleaning!

Wool shrinks as does cotton. Many cotton fabrics have been preshrunk so the clothing stays the same size.
Man made fabrics like Dacron, Polyester, and nylon do not shrink. But natural fibers such as cotton are cooler in summer.

anything 100% will shrink tremendously! Anything 50% cotton or more will still shrink some. wash in HOT HOT water & dry them in the dryer! *it helps if the clothing has never been washed before!

Aero clothes do usually shrink a lot if you leave them in the dryer for too long. So, just put it in the dryer for a few mintues when you wash it or just don't put it in the dryer at all and let it air dry
