just download it
install
then
in ie7
tools
internet options
browsing history delete
delete all
close ie7
start limewire

to remove limewire
go to program files
limewire
click on the uninstall file
do not remove from control panel

also....to hide limewire
delete it from the start menu
and desktop
go to program files
limewire
right-click
properties
click "hidden"
limewire will now be hidden
to see it again
program files
tools
folder options
show hidden files
apply
ok

this does not hide it completely
if your dad gets win defender
it shows him every program there is....
hidden or not

but ,it does hide it from general view
there are several ways he could find out

like...in add/remove programs
NOTE----NEVER UN-INSTALL LIMEWIRE FROM CONTROL
PANEL
THAT IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY
DOES NOT COMPLETELY UN-INSTALL IT
AND YOU MAY FIND IT DIFFICULT TO INSTALL IT AGAIN

if i were you ,i would just tell my dad
hiding stuff never helps anyone
and if he finds out ,you'll lose his trust
and your dad ,i'm sure ,loves you
just tell him you want to get music../movies
you may get it through a nice ,clean program

You can remove it. But considering that you are asking this question I'm guessing you might now know how to *completely* remove it and all the components.

As far as your dad finding out, who knows. Depends on how alert you dad is to what you do online. Is it his computer? If so, he will probably notice. If he doesn't notice Limewire, he'll notice when the tech guy tells him he got an icky virus from something you d/l from Limewire and that it is the cause of your father's despair in trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with the computer. :)

If you downloaded music, maybe not. If you downloaded something else, probably he will find out. Uninstall Limewire when you are through using it. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and find Limewire. Click to remove it. Then close the control panel and restart the computer.

If your dad doesn't want you to have Limewire, don't try to hide it. Even if you delete it after, what about the files you download? Where are you going to hide them? Until you are on your own, paying your own internet, phone, rent, etc, live by his rules, or you may not have a computer at all. He obviously thinks you will download pirate copies of songs and/or movies, since that is the main use of the programme.

If you are sharing a computer, which sounds like you are, any and all programs added/deleted affects everyone who uses it. So if you do he probably will find out. If you do you can just uninstall it like any other program using the "Add or Remove Programs" from the control panel. Then to make sure if got rid of every trace of it search your hard drive for a lime wire file and delete it if its still there.

I personally dont trust P2P freeware becasue they can spread viruses, spyware, and quality of the files can sometimes be lacking.

Limewire will be listed in the programs menu so he will most likely see it and figure out you downloaded it. if you want to get rid of it go under the programs list under limewire and click uninstall.

Yeah, if he looks in the right spot! Keep in mind Limewire comes complete with spyware and adware! Yes, you can remove it, but do several virus sweeps for other malicious software.

He will certainly find out. Much worse, it might cause the computer to run slow or to crush( some files shared are infected with viruses) Just do not download it.

When you select "Save" or "Open" save it, and save it under a document where you know he won't find it.... Also if you want to delete it, go to add remove programs and select it.
