I have General Admission floor tickets for an upcoming concert? How do those work? Do I have an actual seat or do I stand the entire time?

Also, how early should I plan on getting to the event if I want to get somewhat close?

In most cases there are no seats on the arena or venue floor. When the doors open people just walk in and usually try to get as close to the stage as possible. Some Arenas also have seating upstairs that is available for those who don't want to stand through a whole concert

depends on what concert you're going to. One time I got a GA and was standing( more like moshing at the front) and another time I had seats, but its more fun standing anyways. check the venue's website to make sure.

Either you stand or sit (if there are seats). GA areas are usually well-marked. Think "first-come, first-served".
Enjoy the show.

Get there early and wear comfy shoes...you'll be standing a while.
