"They generally have up to one-half hour out of water before they die from lack of oxygen. "

yes they can move out of the water. They can go almost anywhere.

Actually, octupi have been known to come out of the water for long periods of time and play Family Feud and win, tentacles down (they're really good at hitting the buttons with all those whatever-they-are).

Not sure..but I dont think they will survive for a long time,maybe 3 or a few more minutes or so..

I think they can move, but very limited and very slow. I'm guessing a few hours, much like whale.
