I've just got a new phone and I've downloaded a realtone...it PLAYS within he phone, but I can't set it as my ringtone...am I supposed to be able to set it as my ringtone?

Theres a picture of a key next to it on my phone which makes it unuseable as a ringtone if thats any use...I think I acquired a licence for it when I downloaded it...anyone able to shed some light on the subject? (I'm not good with phones...not even sure really what a realtones for!)

Real tones are the songs by the real artists. Ring tones are a synthesized version of a song. I don't know about yours, but my phone won't allow me to set a ring tone if it is in silent or vibrate mode. If I take it off vibrate it gives me the option to set a song as my ring tone.

The realtone is a short clip of the actual song. These are designed to be used as ringtones so it should set it. The key next to the track means it cant be forwarded to someone else as you are right it comes with an activation key which is like licence. If it plays then you have the key needed otherwise it wouldnt play. You should be able to go over it in your files, click something like more the use or set, then you should be able to chose ringtone

There is something called a realtone and a polytone a realtone is when like there's a song and the real tone plays it with the words and the beat but, the polytone on plays the beat but it sounds weird realtones are better and how you put it as your ring tone depends on what kind of phone you have

Why don't you buy bluetooth adapter for a pc:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Bluetooth-USB-Adapter-range/dp/B0000DG4VA

Saves you money instead of buying "Realtones" why don't you just bluetooth song from your pc.

Hope this helps =]
