Oh, a fun age. As a scout leader I've had to deal with that. Just about anything in the craft department at Wal Mart. What do you want to teach them? That is an age they can also learn knitting, crochet, ceramics, and leather working. Simple wood working project might be within their range too.
Trash art is another thing you can try. Have them bring something non perishable in which their parents have thrown away. Cans, pop bottles, etc. Give them some things like felt, scrap wood, buttons, etc. and see what they can come up with. Challenge them to make something useful out of trash.
Give the kids some tempera paints, or water colors and let them go out and paint something in the area. Project a black and white photo onto poster board(maybe one of the students themself) and trace it on the poster board then have them fill it in with poster paint. Check school supply stores in the area and the library.

Take a piece of clear contact. Draw a picture on it using a black permanent marker. Invert and peel the backing off. Take coloured pieces of paper and cut/tear them into the shapes you need to fill on your picture. The trick is to do it by eyesight - it's supposed to result in pieces that are the wrong size/shape. Place the pieces onto the contact. Use a large sheet of paper or card as a backing. The result is a very abstract, po-mo, artsy picture.

Candle making, Popsicle stick art, leaf pressing.
My all time favorite, get outdated wallpaper books and have the kids rip them up, then have them make scenes with them. Such as a sunset or a forest.
Hope this helps.
