I just got shot by a monkey
Yes, I was gunned down by a chimp
While you may think this story is funny
I sure hope you don’t think I’m a wimp
My story took place last November
But don’t worry; I’ll make it quite quick
For if I force you to remember
It might make you feel really sick
I was walking along a dark alley alone
You may wonder why I was so dumb
When I saw the mad monkey I reached for my phone
But that monkey disabled my thumb
This monkey was ruthless, he ignored my pleas
As I begged he reached down for his glock
He pushed my poor soul down onto my knees
And he told me to tickle his –
I just got shot by a monkey
Yes, I was gunned down by a chimp

The point of poetry is to either entertain you, or teach you a lesson. Unfortunately this one does neither. It's mildly interesting but.. come on? It didn't take great poetic skills and it's the exact kind of annoying waste-of-time poetry i wouldn't read.

yeah its kinda funny. lol. but thats cool u only wrote that in like 7 minutes. one time i needed to write a poem for english class and it took me a bajillion years just to write a suck-ish poem.
