We're staying at the request of the Iraqi government. If they demanded us to leave, I believe our government and military would be overjoyed.

I believe they would blame Iran, and immediately try to set up a new Iraqi government. After all, they got rid of the first elected PM, al-Jafari, because they didn't like him.

Obviously, the military would be pulled out and brought home. We would have no other choice. But I bet we never try to do them any more favors.

Well that do not seem like reality at the moment but when the time comes i think U.S. will welcome a pull out.
