I'm a 21 year old stay at home mom, I'm always on the go. So I don't really have time to apply and reapply makeup all day. And with as often as my son ruins makeup I can't afford MAC like most of the other answers so far, but I am a lover of the finer things, so after much trial and error, I've found the next best thing. I also have oily skin...and I LOVE L'oreal's Mattique, Oil Free Makeup. I still glow as you do with healthy skin, without that caked on look and there certainly is no "greasy shine". I use Covergirl's "iluminator" concealer stick to go over blemishes and then the Mattique "base" over that. Follow everything with a matte powder of choice (keep in your purse for the times you're off running aorund) and you get PERFECT results. I'm not vain or conceited, but have received compliments on my make up forever! Oh and another helper if your skin's oily, use basic bar soap (I use Dove's Cool Moisture Cucumber & GreenTea) and it dries your skin just enough. Followed by a nice lotion with SPF, you can then begin the makeup routine. I hope this helped! ;)

Oily skin results when the sebaceous glands produce too much oil, giving skin a shiny appearance. Sometimes a greasy or sticky feel remains for several hours after cleansing. It is also characterized by larger pores than other skin types and is more prone to breakouts, clogged pores and blemishes. Oily skin
may tend to wrinkle less readily than drier skin types. The large amount of oil on the skin’s surface helps the upper layers retain water and protects the skin from environmental causes of dryness.

For oily skin, Mary Kay® products:
• Help control surface oiliness, leaving skin feeling smooth and
looking radiant.
• Deep clean pore openings of impurities and oily buildup.
• Help makeup stay fresher longer.

Two of my most popular are
Beauty Blotters® Oil-Absorbing Tissues
These convenient tissues instantly absorb excess oil without disturbing makeup.
and
Oil Mattifier
This lightweight formula dries to a natural, matte finish, instantly absorbing oil to control shine for at least eight hours.

Good luck and happy new year.

I have oily skin and like MAC Studio Finish concealer. It comes in a little pot and has a built in sunscreen. Right now they are offering it in pallettes with three different colors to blend your own color. If you have a counter near you visit them so that they can match your color.

Think about it: your body is doing its natural things, everyday, all the time. Unfortunately, producing oil to excess is one for you, sorry. But, would you really want a product that stayed on your face from the time you got ready till the time you got home?

That's scary to me, because it's static and my body is dynamic.

Any makeup that you wear will fade and come off, because your body is doing what it's supposed to be doing. I know, it's crummy, but don't poison your body, please!
