I would pay $1500 or so. By the sound of it, it's a very good system, good for people who edit home movies and rip theor CD collections into their hard drive. That's 3 times the size of mine! And Windows XP Pro is recommended by many PC companies.

that system is not worth any more than about £350 retail NEW and wholesale you can say about 20 to 30% less if not more.

the guy who said $1500 is paying way over the odds and he is overestimating the systems capability.
2Ghz if AMD GREAT if INtel not so great.
1 GB RAM just enough to get buy for genereal everyday online and or word processing tasks. you need a bare minimum of of 1.5GB to have a system function anywhere near half decent. by that i mean when windows estimates a file time in minutes your system if AMD powered with 1.5GB RAM or more the minute turn into seconds.
1 second real time = 1 minute windows estimated time.
300GB not so good if you want to be listening to music ar watching a movie clip while working on an office document or working online for example. for best performance you should have a bare minimum of 2 hard drives.
geforce GPU great as long as you do not want to out put your computers data (dispaly to a TV) for example a large screen TV for watching Video or playing games. the geforce cards io've come accrosss all seem to have had one big flaw they only output to a black and white display here in the UK.
MSI motherboard not bad, but not the best (acer use them in some of there systems).
6 USB ports a standard minimum amount for a computer built within the last couple of years.
xp pro, as far as i know not a bad Operating system do you need the features that the pro has to offer? or would xp home suit your needs?
as we all use our computers differently YOU and only you can decide what system is perfect for your needs.
all we can do is give our opinions based on knowledge and or personal experiance.
to be sure you are getting a bargain try using www.froogle.com and pricing ALL the system component seperatly then if the system is good for you and the price is good then buy ot or buy the compnents and build your own custom system.
you failed to list the W value of the PSU (power supply) for a great stable system get a PSU that runs with all your compnents but has about 25% or more power in its rating than your system actually needs.
if you get the system right with the correct power supply, correctly configure the operating system and get the ram requirements correct for your system then you should have a great trouble free computing experiance.
Rember that wnen calculating RAM requirements it is best practice to calculate on the total requirements of all the software programs you want to run at anyone time.
for example if your operating system required 1GB RAM and a graphice program for example needed the same 1GB RAM your system would need 2 GB RAM to be able to cope adeqautly with the tasks you want it to perform. (program1+program2+program3+=Total RAM needed)

this from many years of personal experiance with configuring my own custom system.
if you get the memmory correct then your system should speed through data transfers one minute estimated time (windows XP) would = one second REAL time) based on e running a DFI motherboard, 2Ghz AMD Sempron 3400CPU, multiple hard drives and 1.5GB and 3GB RAM on my two systems running XP home.
with trend micro security suite and running registry clean expert at least twice a week my system is kept in top (peak) performance. hell i'm using the less powerful system to host a webserver ok only on my home 256Kbps upoad speed but then i'm not currently hosting professionaly i'm just hosting for testing purposes.

so good luck with your system.
but consider checking www.dabs.com and price the components and build a specialized system within your budget.
remeber that if you have an old computer you are scrapping you can legally transfer your old software to your new computer (Microsoft operating systems included).
