who thinks that the PS3's are not as cool as the Wii's? My brother and I are arguing so plaese help me...

Here's the real answer: Playstation 3 does have impressice graphics and a blue ray player... but did you ever try to play a DVD on a Playstation 2? It SUCKED!!! It was the cheapest player ever. I assume this blue ray player is equally as crappy. Also, Sony spent so much money beefing up their new system that it costs too much money, and it's hard to develop games for it, so THEY cost more money! All together the Playstation is too much money for a big black box that will stop working within a year. (again, remember your PS2? I rest my case) I've always said if you want to watch movies, get a DVD player. If you want games, get a gaming console. It's like these phones with 2 megapixel cameras. JUST GET A FREAKIN' DIGITAL CAMERA! Do one thing and do it right. That's what the Wii has done. It's cheap. The games are cheap. It's so much fun that me and my friends have been up till dawn more in the last few weeks than I ever have been before. It's the best system by far, and now that they're making Guitar Hero II for it, there is no way that it is inferior. Wii for president!

*Clears throat* I will try to make sense here. The PS3 has Blu-Ray player, impressive graphics, and music and video player and so on.
The wii has a freakin awesome motion sensing controller with an accelerometer, compared to the PS3 one which is garbage (It really is, it is nothign compared to a Wii controller)
The PS3 is trying to start a revolution against HD-DVD with Blu-Ray disk but it hasn't really gone anywhere yet. The PS3 and Wii did not have particulary good launch titles, with the exception of one or two. The PS3 is more then twice as expensive as a Wii and they are losing over 100$ on each console they sell. Also, the PS3 is mostly a computer in the form of a console. It can run Linux for crying out loud! PS3 games can go for up to hundred dollars where as Wii game are for up to 70$ (I am talking canadian dollars by the way). However the PS3 AND the Wii haven't got anything to compare with Xbox Live, their online just isn't too good. Zelda is only one reason why you should buy a Wii. Games can make consoles; yes, but not one. Resistance: Fall of Man goes for the same.

It is a matter of opinion. One party will support the PS3 no matter what, even if the specs are obviously better for a different system. And the same goes for Wii. The fact is, all systems are good and bad at the same time because of the collective opinions but also due to the problems with the system.

So to simply answer this question, both suck, and both rock. Or is this too complicated for you?

The wii is way better then the ps3 all the ps3 is a ps2 on steroids but the wii has alot more new featurs then the gamecube and nintendo is also going to make alot more money then sony because of the apealnes to multipal ages

ps3 is cool but not from $400-$800 and wii is around 300 if u get a game with it but it comes with basic sports games and the wii is also a great workout on some games!

first off wiis suck u get melted disks some people have holes in the tv they have bad graphics ps3 can buy a cooler 10$ no holes wireless controllers better graphics 60 and 20 gigs so if u say wiis rule u suck

Considering the Wii sold around 1.8 million units from launch until Dec 25 and the PS3 sold about 750,000 in the same time frame, it should be pretty self-evident.
