OMG yes, my husband has this guy that works for him and his wife drops him off in the morning at our house on her way to work, he just looms by the door. He will never sit down even when I tell him he has to b/c he's making me nervous. Also, when him and his wife come over for supper or a movie he does the same thing. Looming behind us while we are watching. It drives me nuts.

Actually, it's a psychological power play. Standing while others sit puts yourself at an advantage at an emotional and psychological level. That's why it makes you nervous. It's a slightly aggressive, dominant action.

Yes it does. I fee like if people don't want to sit down in my house, they are uncomfortable or would rather be somewhere else and that irritates me. So yes when i see that it makes me nervous.

No not at all. I am a habitual stander but I notice many people telling me to sit down when I am quite comfortable standing up. I think it's funny.
