Bush Backer!!!! Every President is going to be criticized for something! I mean all people want to do is complain about the war in Iraq! You know what I understand that people are dying over there, but hey they signed up for the military! If you think for one second that your gonna sign up in hopes of never going to war then your just stupid! And besides we wouldn't be where we are today if Clinton would have taken care of business when he was in office!

I'm responding but I'm sure you'll not agree with what I say or how I'm saying it. I totally dislike Bush for the following reasons.
1. A war which had nothing to do with the war on terror and which has no end in sight. Because of Bush administration errors, our troops are now caught up in the midst of a raging civil war.
2. An America deep in debt to foriegn countries - such as communist China.
3. Forty million Americans without health insurance.
4. Losing the good will and respect of much of the world.
5. A polarized America such as has only been seen one time before in our history.
6. More and more jobs being offshored while the companies that do so get huge tax breaks.
This is just a half dozen of my reasons for disliking George Bush. I could list many more but I'm a slow typist and would be here all night doing so. I have lived under many Presidents in my long years of life but this one ranks as the lowest of the list.

YES BUSH IS OKAY BY ME.

I agree with one of the other answers - being president is a no-win situation today.

Just what was our president supposed to do after 9/11? Nothing? Could you imagine that? the American people would have rioted in the streets!

Nixon and some others would have had a half a dozen countries bombed - Bush picked TWO! I think he has shown a lot of restraint given what happened over here FIRST.

I think we should give the guy a break. Its not George W's fault the insurgents poured into Iraq across the borders and interfered with our work - right or wrong as it is. To anyone who criticizes our foreign policy because of our interference in other countries affairs, at least give half the blame to insurgents - their foreign policy a lot worse.

Maybe it depends on what you have to compare him with. If you're young and haven't lived through too many presidents, he may seem OK. But if you're a grandmother like me, you have been around to see really great presidents and really great senators and other politicians. Today they are all too dependent on corporate donations and they don't see to have good ethics.

As for Bush, he is not a good president. I'm not saying this to be unkind, but he doesn't have the necessary open mind, flexibility, willingness to change, ability to admit mistakes. These are important qualities in a leader. Our country needs someone who can bring us together to work on issues that are critical to our future, such as global warming, dependence on foreign oil, improving our schools, security from terrorists, the huge deficit, etc.

Instead of bringing us together, Bush and the folks who ran his campaigns divided us by putting everything on a partisan political basis (will this help our party win?) instead of an ethical basis (is this best for the country?).

Also, the policies of this administration have been extremely beneficial to people and corporations who are already very rich and extremely harmful to people who are not rich. Thus the gap between rich and poor is widening in our country, and eventually this could destroy the middle class. It isn't possible to have a strong democracy without a strong middle class.

Another problem is that because the Iraq war was a mistake and the rest of the world was against it, we have lost our good reputation and moral standing with all the other countries, and this makes it harder for us to lead other people toward democracy and stay safe at home. More people around the world hate us now, and that makes us less safe.

good question good responses! There are adults or at least adult thinking folks on this site after all! In modern times no one has had more on their plate then Bush has as president. I too like him a lot but have a few disappoints also. His tactics on the war on terror contrary to those who think a war should be like an hour tv show and end when we want it to are good sound decisions based on what we are dealing with. Proof? No more terrorists strikes here at home. I remember Bush saying more then once after taking Saddam out Iraq will become a magnet for terrorists better there then here? I think so. War is an abomination it sucks etc etc but it is a war if lost their will be no more individual freedom. They are willing to blow themselves up to kill innocient people they have no or little regard for their lives here on earth. Our solders and those who have joined us value freedom of the individual so much they are willing to risk their lives for us and future generations. One is crazy and evil the other is noble and good. Sad that some here in America can't see the difference. It is a war we have to win and Bush sees that. I am not sure of any in the Democratic party. I hate to say it but I think they are so full of themselves they don't look past their next make up session or speech coaching session with the main goal of making bush even more hated. I am so ashamed of the leadership in the democratic party to hate someone so much it over rides their regard on how important it is to stamp out terrorism. One of my biggest diapointments in Republicans is that they after all the back stabbing and money paid to start all these hate things still try and get along with Democrats. Their only goal is to win dominence in Washington DC again no matter what is going on around them. And it really scares me.

Personally I like Bush too and his "cowboy politics" It's about time we stand up for ourselves, Osama Bin Laden is on record stating that after we pulled out of Samalia and did not retaliate against the first World Trade Center bombing in the 1990's that he thought we were a paper tiger who would run at the first sign of trouble... I give Bush credit for there not being another attack on American soil after 9-11...he has strength in his convictions and doesn't flip flop to win approval on some dumb CNN poll that is fixed anyhow! Also I'm glad he isn't hung up on worrying on what other countries think about us, personally I could care less if France likes us or what the corrupt UN thinks too...just look at the Oil for Food scandal... Additionally, while I grieve for the loss of every soldier's life please remember that these brave men and women volunteered to join the service, there is no draft, they weren't forced into this! We should be praising them and thanking God for their service instead of all the anti war BS. Lastly, my biggest pet peeve is the lack of respect and patriotism that young people have today for the great country we live in. All the people posting negatives about this country and Bush should try living in some of these other countries for a while... they would learn very quickly not only how good they have it here in the USA but also how they would not have the freedom to say all those hateful things about some other country such as Iraq if they lived there. People today are spoiled and do not appreciate what we have...and no, I'm not "old" only 34 but it makes me sick and ashamed when people say awful things about our country and president... last point to those people if you don't like it here, leave...we won't miss you and don't let the door hit you in the behind on the way out! Sorry for the rant but after all the terrible posts I've seen today about Bush and comparing him to Saddam and pro-Saddam posts I've had it. Thank God that they are not the majority!!!! God bless our country and president!

I like him,he was in the process of lowering taxes, does anyone remember the checks we all got back, but they probably spent it(out of sight and out of mind)then 9/11 came in and re-focused everything and the people voted against the house and senate because of the Illegal Immigration, and the portrail of the war by the left media, when the house and senate re- convine in the next term all of us who voted ethe republicans out will be sorry we did so(of course I didnt) and the crazy laws that are to come and the border fence being shot down will open their eyes way too late .

Well we all have our opinions. To me Bush has been an extreme dissapointment. I thought he had the potential to really do some good for this country, particularly domestically. But he has done nothing for the border, and almost nothing to curb spending.

The wars, in my humble opinion were the right thing to do. It's been a one-sided war for so long, we finally decided to jump into the fray.

I am not totally for what Bush has done but at least hes made some effort while most of you just sit there hating him because its the easy thing to do the easy thing is not allways the right thing theres something to think about oh there are so many more things i could yell at you stupid people for all the things that you have done to condem further the things that havent happend in this country because of things that you people have held us back from im sorry but your wrong not us the proud the republicans the christians!
