Maybe someone else can answer more accurately, but - I don't think those home tests are meaningful until she's 2 weeks along (after she missed her first period). Here's what one site says:
"...Most doctors recommend that you wait until the first day of your missed period before taking a home pregnancy test. This is usually around two weeks after conception. However, some tests are more sensitive than others and can be taken earlier. If you follow all instructions religiously and interpret the results correctly, home pregnancy tests are 97% accurate. A blood test administered by your doctor is more sensitive than the early home tests and can be taken between seven and twelve days after you conceive."
Fertility happens on the 14th day before her period starts (usually). So, unless you had sex earlier, she should not have gotten pregnant from the Nov. 29th if she was going to have her period on the 1st. Unless, of course, she has irregular periods - ovulation could happen any time, and you can't rely on timing. Also, having a period always on the 1st sounds more like birth control pills, and if she missed more than 1 in a row or in a few days, she could get pregnant...
It is NOT impossible for ovulation to happen irregularly at the wrong time (triplets happen too - but what are the odds?). So maybe she did get pregnant on the 29th. In that case, a test on the 18th or 22nd could give a valid positive.
If she got pregnant on the 8th, a test on the 18th is unlikely to work. Too early, it would have given a negative? 8th to the 22nd is about as early as you're likely to get a valid reading.
So the questions are:
Is she really pregnant? Did you see the test, or did she tell you? Does she seem like the sort to jerk your chain, or is she genuinely upset or scared about it? (A friend of mine once had a girlfriend tell him"I think I'm pregnant". He said that he thought about pushing her into the traffic... later she said"I'm not. I just said it to see what you'd say." He said "Good-bye.")
Is it yours? So, do you trust her or is it possible she is just looking for a "sucker" to blame? A DNA test costs a few hundred bucks, less than a month's support payments, and can tell you for sure. Sometimes blood types can tell you for sure anyway without the need for a test. So can skin colour. Wait 9 months. There's not much else you can do.
Of course, maybe you can play along even if it's not yours, and get lots of free nookie for the next few months...

What is so complicated? If she is pregnant then what until the child is born and get an DNA test if you are unsure. What bothers me the most is how some guys have unprotected sex with a girl and then the minute she gets pregnant, they want to question whether or not the baby is theirs. I say if you had wrapped it up you wouldn't be asking this question.

WOW!! very ignorant! hun i'm sorry but shouldn't you be questioning her if you think she's sleeping with other guys before you slept with her. If you're in a relationship, exclusively the 2 of you. That shouldnt be a question on your mind!
What you should be saying it lets go to the doctor and double check and get a date. Let's figure out a plan so we can raise our baby well. WOW we were stupid for not using protection but we'll deal with it!!!
Goodluck!

Make sure that you wear condoms or pull out no matter when her period is. Mine comes at all different times and sometimes when it's supposed to. If neither of you Don't want kids right now, then DO EVERYTHING to MAKE SURE that it does not happen.
It only takes one time to make a baby. So yes it is possible.

It could be yours most definitely. Whatever you do please don't make her think, or tell her your not the father. If you love her stand by her and after the baby is born if you have doubts take a test.( you can do this without her knowledge) What have you got to lose except maybe your son if your a jerk about the whole thing.

take another test. Also get a possible paternity test, but it could be yours considering that you had sex on nov. 29....so you may be a daddy....

You should not be sleeping with someone you have to worry about! Is this kind of doubt the way you want to spend the rest of your life?

It is possible from the first time you had sex. Do they not teach people anymore to use a condom?
