I'm male thinking about crossdressing what outfit is good to start off with.

Get yourself some lingerie, high heels & either a short mini-dress or short mini-skirt & a tight top. Don't forget to shave you legs too, they'll look so lovely as you walk down the street in your high heels too.

Is it wrong? Depends on what you mean by wrong. It is considered a "deviant behavior" when compared to the societal norm. While deviant, it does not mean it's wrong, just that it goes against what society takes as "normal". If your family is accepting of it, then you need to make the decision on stoping or not. You're not the first or the last crossdresser that will stop and purge, then a few months later, start dressing again. That can get expensive. You can still get a good job, get married and have kids. By indicating you want to get married you have indicated that you still like girls and want to have sex with them (which produces kids). You will need to come clean with your prospective wife and make sure she is at least tolerant of cross dressing behavior. Don't wait until after the wedding or think that she'll change her attitude, that's not a good thing and it more than likely, won't happen. Be honest and caring with your chosen spouse, understand that they might not like it, but it they really love you, they can tolerate it. You need to discuss when or even if to tell the kids. I know what you mean about looking good, it's a great feeling. You may grow out of it, but you may not. Don't stress over it now, let the future come as it will and understand that you are not the first cross dresser who feels special and pretty in a cute dress and heels.

Start off simple and inexpensively. Foundations, like panties, bra, pantyhose are good beginning items. They are fairly easy to conceal under your male clothing. From there a dress or skirt/blouse combination and shoes would be in order. Start off with flats, you feet will thank you.
Next move onto wig, make up and the accessories.
In a very short period of time, and depending on where you live and with who, you will find a whole new life style.
Don't let the bigots and un-educated fool you. Men have been crossdressing for years and most are heterosexual with monogamous relationships.

Panties and hose under jeans all the time. NO ONE is going to notice them ever...I do this all of the time and even go without socks most of the time. I would recommend a denim skirt, hose and high heeled sneakers at first and to go with someone who is open enough to help you fend off the very rare idiots in your neck of the woods. Either way, have a good time, relax and be friendly, then people will more readily accept you. Don't be shy, people are just as curious and accepting as you are...

it depends where you're going. I know completely strait guys who like to wear skirts to certain goth clubs, that way you could get away with wearing a skirt and maybe a tight top... and it would seem pretty normal, easy to get away with.
I wouldnt do anything with a plunging neckline... maybe some girlier shirts with something shiney on it, a rhinestone design or sequins (but not too much, it's not the 80's of course ;) ) or even tight sweaters or something (it is almost january, but it depends where you live, lol)
as far as bottoms, pants don't get very "girly" there's tight jeans, maybe even jeans with sequins on the back, other than that there's not much difference between guys and girls' jeans. you could try boot cut slacks... but other than that there's skirts. you could start with long heavy skirts and goth guys tend to wear them, and it would be not as obvious maybe that you're trying this out...
in general I'd go thrifting to see what you can find, it'll be cheaper if you don't end up continuing your interest, and you can find more things that tend to blur the lines. And you also find more people there who are bit more alternative than you would at say a mall. Just try on what you're comfortable with. or go to look at ideas to find out what you're comfortable wearing.
This is all assuming you're not ready to go head first into hooker boots and neon wigs. and hell, if you are, go for it!!

Start out slow andmake sure you will want to continue with this after trying it. If you go on Ebay and type in "sissy panties" their are many people of create panties for men. They fit properly, but are almost like a lady panty, and relatively cheap too. You could easily wear these out under your closths without being notice, but you would be comfortable. E bay has many "sissy" style clothing, type "sissy" or Crossdressing" by iteself and see.
I agree with a prior answer in starting slow, panties, bra, tights, knee highs....all these you would wear now and wear out without being noticed, start slow and then move forward if you enjoy it. Just make sure of one thing, if you are going to wear a skirt, PLEASE make sure you shave those legs!!!!

No doubt, a pair of six inch red stillettos, a black mini (I do mean Mini) skirt, fishnets, and the sluttiest top you can find!!
Just kidding, hunny. Get in touch with others in your area for advice. A "bad" look can really cause you alot of unnecessary abuse. What are girls your age wearing? Go from there.

It all depends on the occasion and the impression you want to make.
If you are concerned about how others may perceive you, you may choose to try to "blend-in;" if you want to make a statement, wear whatever you want.
Regardless of what you choose to wear (or what anyone , in general chooses to wear), someone is likely to criticize it... be prepared.
It is often easier to ignore negative criticism and keep your head held high if you feel confident in your own skin (wardrobe).
