For New Year 2005/6 -- I was still a long-term single mom -- and the only income/support for MY HOME (with two dependent late teens/young adults who also had disabilities). Needless to say it was a tremendous amount of work for this aging single parent ... and between everything (including all the home maintenance/yardwork, and everything else ...) I was just plain exhausted ... tired ... and (having late teens/young adults -- they are moody buggers anyway and awfully selfish).

NOW .. looking forward to New Year's Day 2007 -- especially since I recently became an Empty-Nesting SINGLE Retiree .. and NOW ... I am FREE to ENJOY my LIFE in MY OWN HOME ... in PEACE and QUIET ... (A dream I've had for such a very long time).

a lot of good things happened to me this year, my son and his beautiful wife gave me the first grandson (for that matter, the first grandchild) i have. got a new truck, three bonuses from work,
money that was owed me from the year 2002 (almost a grand),
so all in all it wasn't a bad year, looking forward to the new year.
