Well, you don't specify where. In the USA it was Dwight Eisenhower, in Cuba it was ( not president, but the one in power ) fidel kastro
By the way, Eisenhower did nothing useful to eliminate fidel, nor any other USA president either. Shame on them !
Luckly Gorbachov destroyed the comunism in Russia, otherwise the USA would have now the whole south getting ready to seize the White House under fidel's orders
