Why are you still eating them then???
If you have acid reflux then you should not eat them.
Thank him for the cookies and give them to someone else.
Also don't forget to remind your husband that you saw really nice diamond on sale.

I made sweets. Candy, cookies, cakes and pies. Pumpkin bread, nut bread, banana bread and yeast bread with tons of butter. I gained 11 pounds from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Pretend you are eating it and throw it away.

I did, but I gave my significant other Reese's peanut butter in a jar instead of sweets, he's trying to lose weight too, and *LOVES* peanut butter ;) it turned out to be a somewhat healthy alternative.
Try to explain to him that you appreciate him giving you sweets and that you love them (even if you don't, white lies can't hurt when it comes to gift giving) - but you're just trying to watch your figure and trying to eat healthier.
Maybe ask him to "help" you eat them, and not touch them again, lol. I'm sure he won't be too insulted, and guys expect us girls to say stuff like "I'm watching my figure" and stuff like that. Maybe even tell him you just trying to keep yourself good looking for him (even if it really is just for you ;) it might help him understand ;) ) and that you're concerned about your health and that you're just going to cut back on sweets in general. Then maybe sort of leave it at that :)
best of luck!!
