I personally think that he is the BEST defensive player in the game right now, and I'm wondering what other people think about him.

Since people seem to think that Jason Taylor is better than Champ, let me say this real fast: Taylor is a great defensive player, but Champ can effectively remove half of the receiving corps of the offensive team...just something to think about.

I am not knocking Champ Bailey in any way but come on!!! Jason Taylor is a monster out there on the field. I am not just picking him cause I am a Miami fan but still, I think just about all of America can agree with me on this one. 13.5 sacks, 56 tackles, and 2 INT (both for TD's). He also stuckup for his teamates when some of the 1972 team started to say that the current team has no heart. He talked the talked and walked the walked against the then undefeated Bears and beat them.

i'm a die stressful eagles fan and one among my buddies is a die stressful broncos fan. we've noted this good question over the previous couple years and that i've got ultimately come to the tip that he's certainly the appropriate cornerback to play interior the NFL for the final decade or so. additionally, Bailey does not have the stats to be shielding participant of the 365 days. Why? through fact after the QB throws and interception to him, he does not get the ball thrown his way anymore... believe me. i did not opt to have faith that "lie" the two, yet after conserving my eye on Bailey throughout the time of a few video games, he's the appropriate close down corner I even have ever seen.

Yes, because there are better defensive players out there. Merriman is better but because of the roids, he doesn't deserve the award. Bailey is as deserving as anyone of the award, but in my opinion, I believe that there are better players out there than him.
