The US President and V.P. are not to be in the same place in public at this time. Remember we are still at war. Funerals have to have discretion and this is a public event with many cameras.
He will attend at some point, that will keep the cia and fbi on their toes due to people who may be unhappy at this time.

Like Ronald Reagan, he would not attend church in DC. bill Clinton went to church each Sunday, of direction he could have mandatory it greater, yet a minimum of he did now stay wide awake in on Sunday. that's stated Bush went as quickly as to a black church in DC, yet by no skill lower back and he each now and then is going to an Episcopalian church around the line, yet he's no longer in usual attendance.
