Be a bassist ... guitar players are a 'dime a dozen' ... literally. A good bassist, aside from putting the bottom on the music, drives the band with the drummer. They are part of the 'rhythm section' ... they help to make the beat that moves you.

I read some of the answers you already had to your question, and I can assure you that the people who said bass is easy because it's only 4 strings are way wrong. Bass is not like guitar ... a bass player thinks differently! They add the punch to everything you listen to. Just turn the bass control down on your stereo and listen to what you get ... nothing!! Guitar players usually make incredibly bad bass players because most of them don't think in the zone to be a good bassist. They view the bass as just the bottom end of the music. It's much more. It kicks the music around and punches up the rhythm. Be a bassist ... good ones are hard to find.

Guitar. Bass is just the first four strings of the guitar, so it would be easier to learn after the guitar. But bass is good because not a lot of people play it.

These are two totally different instruments, that are played very differently. The decision is actually on you. Many guitar players can't play bass. A bass player has to have rhythm, to match with the drummer. Listen to the bass parts in your favorite music and you'll see what I mean. Best of luck to you.

are you asking which to play? id say the abss since the bass is predicated on the guitar, EG you can learnt he bass and transfer all of that knowledge to the guitar but you cant the other way around cuz the guitar (usually) has 2 more strings, and generally a bass is jsut played w single notes

Learn guitar first - REALLY learn it (barre chords, scales, etc.) and then bass comes a lot easier and as you are jamming you can watch the changes the guitarists are doing and know what bass lines to play. I like playing guitar, but bass is a lot more fun sometimes - just different. That's my two cents' worth - and has worked for me.

Bass is easier, but very limited. If you want to be more versatile, start with Guitar, then take up bass after you've mastered the guitar.

first you have to watch your self before start working
1- you have to make sure you find asense of heareing to the music and your self can accept without bad side effects
2- if you find that you can understand music without a song then
3- stay in a room which is calm and only listen to aguitar play and then listen to a bass play
4- findout wether you can understand guitar or bass plays
