Yes, the javascript will become too repetitive. You might be able to handle that by implementing some type of cookie system. That way it may only appear on the recepient's first visit.

I have a pop up blocker on, so did not notice any pop ups. I thought the site was well put together, I wasn't impressed with some of the content.

I hated the pop-ups, and I think you went overkill on the javascript ......
