Isn't the justice system in Iraq as weak as its government? Because if it wasn't weak, Sadam souldn't be hanged on a religious holiday. This shows that those in power in Iraq are no different than Sadam himself.

I imagine the Iraqi authorities had a dilemma about when to execute Saddam. On the one hand, it would be best to carry out the sentence without delay, to avoid the turmoil and problems that could result from a delay. On the other hand, they did not want to execute him on a holy day. They decided on a compromise, executing Saddam before dawn out of respect for the day.

What does the strength of the Iraqi government have to do with his hanging? The world court sentenced him...the Iraqis carried it out. Who cares if it was a religious holiday. Everyone...oops..I mean all the sissy liberals out there want to demolish everything religious except when it is convenient for their argument. Or is it just a liberal thing to bend over for the Islamo-fascists?
