voting party is easier because voting issues takes time to learn what they are. Then listening to what those who will be in charge of those issues have to say where they stand. But part of being a good politician is being a good speaker. They willl all say things that sound good. So I go a bit further and review their voting habits. That tells where they really stand. No matter what some say or think voting is important. at least to me. And most of the time I end up voting republican hoping some day they will realize that most of this country live their lives using conservative values. And they need to return to the core values. Less spending smaller government and get out of my personal life! The liberal ideology in theory looks great on papper everyone happy no poor etc but it will just never happen in reality. Helping the poor by giving them handouts to sustain life really hurts more then helps giving a hand up is the way to go. Life is never fair and no matter how much of our tax dollars liberals spend to make it that way it won't happen it's a form of utopem socialism that they want it has'nt worked in the past and will never work.

Neither. Single issue voters can elect a very dangerous candidate if that is all they think about. Some voters such as abortion foes, for example, would rather elect a raving lunatic as long as he agrees with them on that one issue. The same dangers hold true for voting a straight party ticket.
Try studying the candidates and vote for the best person for the job. If you can't read or are too lazy to do so, don't vote.

Voting the party is easier. Perhaps voting the issue might be a more intelligent approach, but once you have studied American History, you should realize that voting Democratic is always the right choice.

I try to look at the issues, but the vast majority of people vote for the party (I usually vote with Republicans because I agree on most issues).
If more people looked at the issues (or even knew what they are) we could have a better government.

It's easier to vote on party.
Personally I vote on the issues, never for a democrat, because they are as far from my beliefs as one can get. I voted for several 3rd Parties this last election.

I tend to lean to the right as well, but voting for the issue makes a person to make an informed decision.
