I delivered via c-section at exactly 38 weeks. She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was perfectly healthy. Not to worry dear, at 38 weeks your considered full term and you'll have a healthy baby girl. Don't fret over it, just enjoy your baby and congrats!

You will have nothing to worry about. Weight of a baby is minor compared to making sure the lungs are fully developed. By delivering at 38 weeks, the lungs will be fully developed so you won't have anything to worry about. With my daughter, the dr induced my labor (which only lasted 7 hrs!) when I was only 36 weeks along. She was 5lbs 3 oz at birth, weighed 4 lbs 13 oz when we left the hospital, just two days after she was born. She was fully developed and had no problems holding her own when it came to breathing, and body temp, ect. Congratulations! Relax, save the worries for when the baby arrives. Everything will be ok.

There is no way to tell how much he/she weighs just by looking at your stomach or how far along you are. I was induced and delivered at 38 weeks and the Dr. was predicting he would be about 7 lbs...he was 9lbs 1oz!!! Really anytime after 32 weeks is getting further and further away from the danger zone. Plus, drs are much more concerned about lung development rather than weight so I wouldn't worry about it...just enjoy your time before the little bundle gets here! Good luck!

anything from 38 to 42 weeks is considered full term. I will be having my baby by c-section at 38 weeks also. Your baby might be a little smaller than average, but everything will be fully developed. at 38 weeks, most babies weigh from 6 to 7.5 pounds. check out this page for some more info at 38 weeks -

I delivered at 31 weeks, and my son weighed 2lbs. 12oz. I would say that your baby will way atleast 5lbs. You are only two weeks early. I'm sure your child will be just fine. My aunt delivered at 38 weeks, and her baby weighed 6lbs 1oz. My bestfriend just had a 38 weeker and he weighed 6lbs 13 oz. Goodluck, and congrats.

my daughter was delivered at 37 weeks and she was 6#7ozs, my son at 37 1/2 was 6#14oz and right now I am 34 weeks and the dr said this baby is 6#'s and he will be delivering this one at 37. So it just depends anything over 5 pds is good.

i be attentive to a woman who had a 12lbs toddler certainly...do no longer think of you will want a c-area. My daughter replaced into 8lbs 2 oz...and my siblings have been throughout 10lbs (my sister replaced into 10lb10oz!) so which you have have been given a healthful weight on your toddler :)
