I'm considering getting an mp3 player. I want to use it while I work out - lifting weights and riding the stationary bike and treadmill. What's a good choice for this? Also, when you buy one, what's the easist way to get songs onto it? Do any come with free downloads?

all these people are saying iPod, but my husband hates them. Well, he doesn't ''hate'' them persay. He actually wanted one for awhile. He says that you have to convert all your music to iTunes though. He believe that a creative labs mp3 player would be better. They're small, come in awesome colors, and you can get the armband thing, to hold it while you work out! They have a 1GB that also plays back video clips for less than a hundred on walmart.com, or you can customize your own on their website, or about the same price.

Ipod is my favorite.
There are many others, but the memory on an Ipod is amazing.
I would say, get a nano or something.
If you're only using it for working out, then a shuffle is chap.
Itunes is the ONLY way to get songs on to it. (At least for what I know)
But its the easiest, and downloads free.
But music isn't free.
Get limewire and transfer songs from there. Do a google search and you could get some nice music.
Occasionally, some mp3s (not the ipod) will come with 20 free song downloads or something.
Or try napster, its like...$20 for a month of free downloads.
....Im not sure.

I personally prefer mine. It's called a sandisk sansa e250. It has radio, songs, video, photos, etc. Mine came with 2 free months of Napster. This is like a mini ipod but cheaper. But if you have the money, get an ipod. They are better quality.
