Love her or hate her, I think few would doubt that Dakota Fanning is an amazing child actress. There are few actors that make the transition from child star to adult actress sucessfully. Everyone thought Haley Joel Osment would do it, but does not yet seem the case. What are your thoughts on Dakota - is she going to be the next Jodie Foster? Or will she be on VH1s where are they now, 10 years from now?

She is good now. But her career is on the line right now... Maybe you havnt noticed but she has only been in one movie this year (Charralettes Web) and she is signed to be in one next year. Not to many people are like a #1 fan...... Think about all the successful child stars in the past.... 1 out of 13 were famous when they grew older.

I have no doubt whatsoever she is going to be a very successful actress one day. She already is. I was amazed the first time I saw her acting. She is a very talented girl. I believe she is going to be stonger as actress than Jody Foster.

yeah i think she will, a lot of child actors performances are v kiddish but she always comes across as grown up even though playing a child in a film, i think she will be ok, but depends on film choices i suppose
