We want to find a church with alot of traditional christian values but that won't make us feel like outsiders for living together and having a baby out of wedlock... Is it even possible to find one? I heard the United church of christ but I don't know. Oh and we live in massachusetts. We will definatly appreciate any answers but we just don't want to be judged please. Thanks so much.

Don't pay attention to denomination. Every church is going to be and act differently.

Honestly, you need to find a church that makes you feel loved. NO ONE here can tell you that perfect church for you. Instead you have to go hunt for it.

We had a child out of wedlock too, and our church basically shunned us. Funny how my sister-is-law is more of a prostitute and yet was completely accepted into the church. Hmmm.

Honestly though, follow your heart. Experiment with different churches and find one that fits you as a family.

A real church would care enough about you to tell you to get married. If it is money stopping you just do the paperwork and have the event later. Living together out of wedlock won't be condoned by any church that is worth going to. They don't want to judge you but they have the job of telling the flock how to live and if they look the other way they are not really doing their job. My church actually helps people in your situation get married (financially) and the negative becomes a positive and everyone has a great time. Not sure what goes in in the US but all the best with your little family.

most baptist churches won't judge you. don't worry, just try new things. catholic churches WILL judge you. but baptist is very nice. they are very friendly. just look up in the phone book about local baptist churches. don't be afraid to tell them about your life. most people won't judge you like that. christian people are meant to be understanding. i am a christian girl and i don't judge parents like you. god made this happen for a reason. something really good is going to happen. there is a definit reason that this happened to you. don't worry.

I think the Unitarians are very accepting - or are they called Universalists now? Maybe it is Unitarian Universalists.

Peace!

no one has the right to judge you but God. and he doesn't judge he forgives us ,he died for our sins. i know that any baptist or ame church will accept your family. you must know that all Christians are good Christians no matter where you go, they'll be fake people trying to be judge mental.you shouldnt let that distract you from getting closer to the almighty jesus christ.because he alone has the all the power and the glory.God bless you and your family i hope i was some kind of help.
