Sometimes I find it hard to devote time to reading-job, shopping, housework, going out with friends.
Is it really that difficult or maybe I don't want to do it that much?

One or two, tops. Honestly, although I'm an avid reader, I really don't feel like I read that much, probably because I rarely sit down and just read a book. Instead, I get little snippets all the time- when I'm waiting for something, before class begins, while I eat my meals, while taking a bath, in the bathroom, before I go to bed. Only if a book is truly amazing will I sit and just read for hours. I think that if you're having trouble getting books read, it's not that you don't want to do it, or that's it difficult, but you just aren't prioritizing it and don't know how to manage time as well. Get a book you really want to read and carry it around with you and just remember that it's there when you have an extra moment or two.

Happy reading!

What I read per day is about 30 minutes but the reason I don't read for an hour is because you get into the book and all but then later you start to feel really tired but you should read for like 30 minutes in the morning 30 minutes in the evening and 30 minutes in the nightime then you would have some information in you and you would do much better in reading.

But at some times it really doesn't matter how many hours or minutes you read a day you can just take put a book and start reading then you would still have some information inside of you anyway or anyhow. Like i said it really doesn't matter though

Mmmmm, can't answer that in terms of hours but I love reading.
If I am travelling by public transport, I always take a book.

I don't watch much television but if I do, I nearly always have a book ready for the boring part.
I have a pocket size book of "Shakespeare sonnets," each one only takes a few minutes to read; so that is good to snatch at, in a spare moment.

No, it's not difficult. Go browsing in a bookshop and have a flick through the masses of literature and you're bound to find something you like. Many of the shops have a coffee bar upstairs.
Lovely on a rainy day!

I always find time to read, no matter what. Even when I'm travelling, I take a book and read before bed for an hour or so. On a normal day I'd say I read in between 1 and 3 hours.

I find it hard to devote time too... But now that I'm working on a doctorate....I'm reading a ton more than I ever have (3-5hrs).

But for you, start of small...maybe 20 minutes two-three times a week. Then try to increase it by 5-10 minutes. You'll probably catch yourself reading longer when you are interested in the story line.

My hubby uses the throne time (restroom) to read.

I am a welder at a factory where we build farm machinery. I don't watch football,Nascar or go to the bars so that leaves me out of most of the conversations. I have two 15 minute breaks per day. I read during them. I have read probably a hundred books this way. I don't get much time to read at home. I really look forward to my breaks.

At least two hours per day - or rather night as I'm a bit of an insomniac and don't seem to need much sleep. Reading is like any other skill - it takes practise.

I read all the time. I work in a Library so I have the resources and also a quiet place to read. Also, I like to read for a little bit before I go to bed.

I read in the bathtub for an hour most nights, and I read online about 3 hours a day.
