I know that you must be very uncomfortable.....most of your symptoms point to tinnitus. You most likely started with an ear infection, and possibly are still fighting that off, so if you was prescribed antibiotic ear drops, you should continue with those. You also may want to find out if there is another audiologist in your area that can get you in sooner for your hearing test. You should be following up with an ENT after this test as well. You may also want to call your doctor and find out if you could be taking an antihistamine to diminish what sounds like fluid built up in your inner ear, benedril can be used to help that, but make sure that it will not react badly with other meds you are taking. Bottom line, you are miserable, so if you can not get treatment sooner that what is being offered to you, look elsewhere. Best of luck!

Ok, I may be way off track here but then again, I may not. Go to local pharmacy & buy generic Tussin. The active ingredient should be "Guaifenesin". Take the recommended dosage every 4-6 hours as it says, for 10 days. You won't feel anything, but if this is the right treatment, you'll notice no more pain after several days.
You may have fluid buildup in your ears from allergies. Also, a decongestant may help, too.
Good luck.

It sounds like a hearing test is just what the doctor ordered. Hearing tests can determine many other problems: and determine if the problem is in the ear/ear canal proper, or the nervous system.
