For people who have them it probably makes them feel safe and pretentious. Some parents around here bought their 16 year old daughter one so she would be safe. In my opinion they are a waste of money and fuel, they are rather impractical and silly looking. They are difficult to maneuver and park. They remind me of an expanded "Thing" . Remember those silly vehicles that kind of disappeared?

WTFEVER!!!!!!!!!! Hummers SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN BY CIVILIANS. come on now...they were made for military. When i see someone driving a hummer the first thing that comes to mind is IDIOT. Youre driving a gas guzzling vehicle that you think is the "safest". Come on now. They look like idiots...I cant stand it when a person "has to MAKE an impression"

Some people like the false security of riding in a high vehicle. But it's not really that safe. It has a higher center of gravity so it's possible to tip it over easier during a crash.

Its gives the apperance of being larger than life . Personally it shows you have class , style and money .But dont worry it wont make you seem stuck up .I love hummers.

It's roomy and powerful. It has a lot of room for interior upgrades like LCD screens, etc...
EDIT: ...and apparently there is at least one tree hugger on this forum that doesn't like a sensible answer. Keep on telling people their penis is small to make you feel better about your pathetic career choice and wealth.

Crappy gas mileage and letting everyone know that you are a glutton who can afford to selfishly suck down gasoline even if it is expensive.BUT YOU SURE DO LOOK COOL DON'T YOU!!!!
