served our country? what about all the good people in america that go to work every day and are nice to their friends, family and strangers. aren't they serving our country, too? their funeral isn't on tv, nobody cares about them.
and death is just part of life. i'd be pretty damn worried if the guy lived to be 150. he was like 95, i'm glad he's dead. who would want to be alive at 95?? that would suck big time.

Ya know?
That dude only became prez because Tricky dick Nixon was impeached.
Why the heck should he get a state funeral when good old James Brown doesn't get to have one. AND he contributed MORE to American culture than Gerry Ford ever did.

That's because he rose to the highest office possible in life which being a former President deserves the ultimate respect. He also did more than pardon Nixon. He helped a nation heal from Watergate. All democrats & republicans acknowledged that and as history has proven, he was right in pardoning Nixon. Otherwise, the nation would have endured 2 or 3 years more of dragging that issue out let alone the cost to the public. He served his country with the highest honor and what was more important, with dignity and honesty. That is why theyare talking about him now. He earned all that respect. That is why people care. Watch the history channel to see everything he did for his country. You'll also see what his background was like and why most poor Americans can relate to him as well.

What are you, about twelve? Someday you will realize the importance of some of the things he did as well as other dead presidents and I don't mean money. I think the disrespect of the younger generation is intolerable. Bet you drive a Toyota. I will probably get a violation for this. I don't care. Even if you don't care or didn't like the man you need to show some respect!

Because he was PRESIDENT...... he was 93. It is an honor and the biggest responsibility in the world to be president of the United States and run the US. He might not have done anything for you.... but he ran the country for a few years.

Why do people care that anyone dies? People leave a mark on this world. If we dont celebrate their life and mourn their death, what's the point of life?
