Why do movies like Titanic and Pearl Harbour (both historical events) have to be garnered with crappy love stories to make them more marketable? The actual attack on Pearl Harbour lasted only around 35minutes, and yet the whole movie goes for 3 hrs plus.
I think if James Cameron did some actual research of his own into the history of the Titanic and its crew, he probably would have discovered a more realistic and interesting human interaction that actually transpired. Rather than something that is so fake and so Hollywood.
I think there is no doubt it was well made, anything costing that much must be. However, it could have done without the crappy love story.

I think the movie was great, but sad because a lot of people died on april 15, 1912 when Titanic sank into the cold Atlantic Ocean.

You know this might inspire lots of negativity and thumbs down from "haters" trying to feel relevant, don't you?

By the way, for those who didn't get it, "Titanic" was intended to be a romantic drama set against a historical background (which "Pearl Harbor" fails to achieve),...not a documentary or dramatization of a true story.

I liked it.

I'm not too keen on romantic movies, but this one had great music (had to sing "My Heart Will Go On" in a concert, and I love the Irish Party scene only for the music!)

I liked the movie; it was good. Except it was sad also, especially when you see all those bodies in the water, even babies.
The special effects were very good. This is a movie I could watch more than once.

I love Titanic!
The Music was beautiful, and the acting was flawless!
Leonardo Dicaprio was so cute! Now he's ugly.

Excellent movie, excellent acting. It deserved all the Academy Awards it received.

A very powerful, moving picture. It got a little sappy in places, but there is some fine film-making going on there

It was alright.

I was more impressed with the attention to detail for the interiors of the ship and costumes.
