Ok - 1st try unplugging it from the computer and resetting it. Hold down the Menu and Center button for 5 - 10sec. If this does not work, try restoring it by plugging it back into the computer and clicking "Restore". (WARNING - This will erase all music so make sure you back it up by inserting a blank disc and clicking File > Backup to disc.) If this still does not work then call Apple or e-mail me!

You need to restart both the computer and the iPod. For the computer, just push the power button or unplug it (pretty obvious, right). For the iPod push and hold the "MENU" button and the center (select) button. Keep holding them down until the screen goes dark and the apple logo appears.

You should probably download the latest version of iTunes (7.0.2) and use it to see if there are any firmware updates available for your iPod.

Hopefully that will fix your problem.

Just unplug your iPod, no big deal. If it doesn't respond, follow the directions on how to reset it. If you're using Windows, this happens from time to time.
