I have no heath insurance, so going to the hospital is out of the question. I started having pain in my private parts. It is just on the outside, not inside. It is swollen and I have a couple of blisters. It was ok, until I started having pain in the joint between my thighs and crotch. It feels like something is swollen. I have been using Uristat and yeast infection medication. Today it was burning when I peed, like I have cuts on the outside of my vagina. I have a temparature of 98.9, any clue what is wrong with me? I am crying from the pain.

I understand you have no health insurance, but this could be a sign of a serious infection. STDs probably have no part in it. You've probably got some inflammatory infection that has spread, and unless you're willing to get pretty sick AND possibly lose your reproductive abilities in the long run, I suggest you go see a doctor ASAP. I know it's scary, but this doesn't sound like something to fool around with. I have been through bouts where I didn't have a lick of insurance and had to go see a doctor or go to an urgent care center. I suggest DEFINITELY trying an urgent care center in your area, NOT an emergency room. If you tell the receptionist up front that you have no insurance, they will usually do everything in their power to lower the costs and give you whatever discounts are available. Make sure to mention it to the physician, as well. He/she will likely give you a good dose of medication from their samples closet, which will cost you nothing in the long run. Good luck.

I'm not a doctor or nurse, but someone who has several types of infection. Your symptoms do not sound at all like a Yeast Infection, as the major sign of those is white cottage cheese looking stuff and itching in the crotch. Using yeast infection medication isn't going to work for any other type of infection. If it hasn't improved in a couple days of it, it's definately not a yeast infection.

If you have an infection you'll need medical help. Some of your symptoms are like a bladder or kidney infection, both of which I have had.

I'm poor as well, don't know where you live, but where I live in Utah there are health departments that can do blood work tests at cost, no office charge. Usually no more then forty dollars, often much less.

Also their are in most States, Cities or at least in most countries places that offer low cost doctors appointments. You can call your local health department, ask them if they have a clinic and how much it would cost to come in. Tell them how long the problem has been going on and what you've already done, all the symptoms. If they don't, they should be able to refer you to someone. Sometimes doctors will see someone for free off a referal from a health deparment.

Just because you are loyal, you do need to be open minded enough to consider that your husband hasn't been. WHY? Becuase white blisters is definately a sign of one of the STD's, sorry, but it can be from an infection. KEEP YOUR mind open. Find help to get to a doctor, as if it is an STD or infection, either way, you can risk permanant damage to your body if not properly treated right way. Infections of the bladder or kidney's that goes untreated can cause life threatening infections, even permanant kidney damage. STD's can do the same, leave you unable to have children.

All women want to trust their partner, but don't be stupid about it either. Half the people, especially women, who end up with STD's thought they were in a committed, menogomous relationship.

One thing you can do that helps any infection anywhere in the body and this isn't just a fad, it's been known for centeries and even doctors know it helps. Eat one clove, not the whole bulb of garlic every day, not on an empty stomach. Garlic is a natural antibiotics, but isn't going to cure your infection, but can help.

Remember that you can have a yeast infection as well as nother type infection at the same time. Just in case you have a yeast infection, I've had many. Don't drink milk until it's gone or eat sugar from candy, only what's naturally in foods. WHY? Because sugar helps yeast infections, it's like feeding it what it wants.

The pain you are describing sadly sounds like one of two things, STD or a bladder/kidney infection.

If you are religious and can't pay to see a doctor, consider calilng your pastor, bishop and asking if they can help you pay. Stay away from the hospital, it's usually $400.00 and up just to be seen in an E.R. let alone the cost of lab tests at a hospital.

The swelling and joint pain is also a danger sign as you could have a large cyst and you can't take care of that either by yourself. Please call around, look in the community resource/government pages at the front of most phone books. Then go to County pages, usually your local health department is listed there and most have clinics. If you don't have one, homeless shelters often have clinics and will see others in the community for free. If you don't have that. Call your non-profit hospital closest too you and ask if they can tell you where you an get free or very low cost help. They should be able to refer you some place. BUT TO IT TODAY or MONDAY if nothing is open today.

My prayers are with you. Hope you get help soon and feel better soon.

sounds like herpes. It can hide in the body for years, and develope when you are under stress. Try garlic oil capsules at least 9000mg a day. Garlic kills bacteria, and runs off viruses. Make sure you are getting vitamins. Take baths in Epsom salts. It will burn a little but the salt will dry up the blisters. Either one of you could have caught that long ago,or even born with it.
I understand no insurance,so this is what I would do for at least till I could find help. You might have to travel to somewhere that you can get help.
look for U.S.Public Health Clinic.

You are sick....and it is possible, re-reading your symptroms that you have genital herpes II. They usualy occur in groups of blisters, you run a fever, and your lymph nodes are swollen. It is very important to get some help. Do you have a county hospital to go to? They must accept you when you have no money to pay them. If it is Genital Herpes II, you should be taking Acyclovir (generic name)...Zovirax (brand Name).... If you have no free clinic/hospital, go see your family doctor. Explain the situation to their account department and tell them to set up payment plan for you to pay off the doctor visit.
The other issue is that Genital Herpes II, which I am almost 100% sure this is, is it is a sexually Transmitted Disease...it has to come from somewhere else...not off toilet seats etc. I know you think your boyfreind is faithful....but....

The only other possibility is, you have contracted human papilloma virus...or viral warts. THey hurt too...but don't usually make you feel as sick as you are. They are also STDS. You need to sit down with your boyfriend and have a pretty good talk with him. Get some help right away!...Uristat is for urinary tract infections and yeast infections don't present this way. I'm a nurse practitioner and handled all of these conditions.

I have no idea what it is, but it sounds serious - you really need to seek professional care. Do you have any family in the area who might be able to pay for a visit? I know where I used to live there was a non-profit health care clinic that would help to pay for most of the costs, if not all of the costs, of emergency visits for people without health insurance.

Do diabetes run in your family? People say that when they have diabetes they develops sores around their private area which cause infection.
If so you should really have that checked out.
I am not trying to scare you but diabetis can be very dangerous to you.
Try taking 2 Tylenol 500s to numb some of the pain.

oh dear. I know when you have no health insurance it is very stressfull. You DO need to go to a doctor IMMEDIATLY!!! Do not mess around with this. The blisters and painfull urination makes it sound like an STD. You should go to the ER, and fast. I dont think you wanna mess around with this.

Find a local clinic that you can go to for low-income and/or uninsured folks. Clinics like that do exist!! They can help diagnose and treat the problem at little or no cost to you. Please go right away, you don't want this to become something worse than it already is.

Not to be mean, but it sounds like genital herpes. The symptoms you are having are what happens frequently with the first outbreak of the virus. You really need to see a doctor.
