Hello,

Answer: You have to fully understand that these are two completely different Microsoft propietory file formats.

.wma = windows media audio (mp3 sound quality but no images).

.wmv=windows media video (video with sound included usually).

**If you change a file from .wmv into .wma then you wouldnt loose the sound but would loose the video imaging side of the file.

**You can rename the file back to .wmv if thats any help?

**The burner software shouldnt have a problem with .wma file any more than .wmv files. To burner software files are just files and the file format shoudnt be a problem. It sounds like its a problem because the file format descriptors are now messed up.

i.e. the file is seen as damaged or corrupted by the CD burning software because the file hasnt been correctly or fully converted in the right manner.

wma is an audio filetype - microsofts version of mp3 (windows media audio)
wmv is the equivalent video type (windows media video)

you may only have the audio of the file, if this is the case it will be a lot smaller thn a video file.

Right click on the file,
Select rename,
Amend the .wma on the end of the name to .wmv

That should fix it!
