Yes it is probably your baby.
I felt both my kids kicking at 16 weeks. My first one felt like butterflys, but the second one felt like tapping over and over again in the same spot.

It probably was!!!!!! I felt my baby move 4 the first time at that stage too and it was the weirdest thing i have ever felt. it felt just like a twinge. its when the arm or the leg has hit the side of your womb because at 16 weeks they are getting a little bigger! It feels like butterflies even tho you aint nervous. make the most of the delicate movements. it reassures you that baby is healthy and when you get to my stage (30 weeks) the little twinges become brutal kicks!!! good luck!

Might have been...of the baby has hick ups. But I don't think babys get hick ups until later. Becuz its lungs mightnot be developed enough yet. I think that happens in the last trimester. Probably was your baby kicking. I didn't feel mine until like 18 weeks. Its crazy cuz now I am 32 weeks and 4 days and the babys kicks are so extreme. Sometimes it hurts. Like they can wake me up. And when I look at my belly its like jumping all over the place. You can like press where you feel whatever it is sticking out and like really feel it. Its so amazing. I'll miss the kicking after the baby is born. Probably not anything else though.

Usually, fetal movement is not felt until 22 weeks gestation (for the first pregnancy and 18 weeks for the second) . What you feel at 16 weeks is usually gas moving through the intestines, which are being pushed up by the growing uterus. congratulations and in another few weeks you will feel the baby kick. All the best.

No Its too early for that.
At 16 weeks it is butterflies, kind of like a rumbling.
You won't feel baby's movements jabbing until week 19-20
Which in subsequent pregnancies can be week 17-18

It certainly sounds like your baby kicking or punching you. I felt all three of my babies really early (about 13 weeks), then they didn't stop until they were born. I would be standing on the bus and suddenly notice someone staring open mouthed at my belly. You could see my whole belly undulating under my clothes LOL. I always liked feeling it, it's very reassuring!

If you've already had the 'butterflies' sensation, this is the next thing to follow, as your baby's getting stronger, and your're at the right stage to start to feel your baby too!

Could be, but check with Dr. to make sure your not ovulating. Otherwise your baby could have a sibling just a few months younger. Rare but it happens. Good Luck and congratulations.

I'm sure it was probably the baby. I mean this with no offense, but very sincerely.... you should try reading a few pregnancy books. That way you can know what other feelings to expect. Congratulations.
