how do you make your internet move faster?

I have verizon dsl and i was wondering if there was a way to make it move faster.

I also have Verizon DSL. I have a few suggestions:

1) Upgrade to a higher bandwidth of DSL, or upgrade to cable (Adelphia, Comcast). For a super-fast connection, try Verizon Fiber Optics (FIOS).
2) If you use Internet Explorer, upgrade to Firefox at http://www.getfirefox.com (it may be slightly faster).
3) Download a web accelerator, preferably one that is suited for broadband/DSL. You can get the free Google Web Accelerator at http://webaccelerator.google.com.

There are several things you can do, one of which is to add Google's Web Accelerator. I think it will work on DSL. I use it on broadband and it works great. The other thing you can do is clean out a repository of junk called the resolver. Every click we make gets stored in this hidden file, and it will greatly speed up your clicking on the internet. Click on Start, Run and type cmd
When the DOS screen opens, at the end of whatever string the cursor is sitting, type ipconfig/flushdns and hit Enter.
It will clear out the file and return to the DOS screen. Either type exit or click on the X in the upper right corner to close DOS. You can do this while you are on the internet and watch things move faster! Neat!

If your DSL doesn't make it go faster than you probably need some more memory added to your computer. You can get this done at any computer store or bust buy. Or you can do it yourself.
