Tries new things, or sticks with what you know?

Personally, I can't stand having the same thing over and over.
I just NEED to try new things.

There is a guy I know, though, who always drinks the same exact soda... He drinks, like, 3 sodas a day, yet ALWAYS gets the exact same kind. I don't understand it.
Another example: my friends all always get the same SoBe flavor, and I always get a different one, every day.
Aren't they even curious about the others?

I can't even live with myself if I have the same thing twice in a row, much less every single day of my life!

Same goes with this girl I know. Every day, on her break, she buys the exact same candy bar. She eats it every single day of her life, and never gets sick of it. How can that be?

Why don't these people realize that they're missing out on so much, by never trying new things?

So, tell me what type of person you are, and if you can understand the logic behind having the same thing, every day....

Change is a beautiful thing to me. I like In n Out Burger for example, but, because I love it so much I try not to get burnt out on it. I like Starbucks too. I don't always order the same thing because I dont want to get sick of something that is really good. I know what your talking about though. I worked with a girl that brought a Dr Pepper to work every morning, It just sat there full all day. I never saw her take a drink, yet, it was gone by the end of the day. I thought she was peculiar because of that.

Change is not always a good thing. For example, Every morning when I wake up and every night before going to sleep, I see the same person. His face never change! I have been doing this for almost 5 years. I am repetitious with my school assignments. I have a set agenda with the same exact schedules but different assignments. I have a set time aside for studying in the same exct room and same exact spot. I even study in the same chair. When im in this special spot, my husband won't let the kids bother me because he knows what im doing. My life is repetitious in many ways, and I am very comfortable with that. When you have kids, you will learn that repeating the same thing or habit is the key factor in teaching your child how to walk, talk, potty, or even obey you!

I like trying new things, especially something very challenging. I can't work as an employee for I don't want someone to boss me around. At work I never been fired either I quit or I resign. The food I eat should be different every now and then.

What I can't fathom is people who say "Gross I hate that" about food they've NEVER tried. I like sushi. My friends all go GROSS but not one has ever tried it, and not one WILL try it. Cowards.

My thinking is that a lot of people like safe things. They'll do the same thing every single day because they know it will go off without a hitch, and order the same thing of the menu because they know they will like it. They are afraid to try anything new because they might fail or they might not like it. Deep down they may be bored witless with their existance, but since it's safe, they accept it.

I usually stick with things that I know I like. Which is what these people probably do. It mainly depends on my mood. If there is something new that looks good I'd probably try it but for the most part I stick with the things I know and I know are good.

It probably has to do with the fact I had a hectic childhood so I really like things to be steady.

I like trying new things, but I still drink the same kind of soda consistently. I've tried others, and this is the one that I like, no reason to have anything else that I don't think is as good.

I'd rather have options. Choice is a big thing in my life. but i do understand people and their "obsessions".

It is a way that people can have what they want, maintain a life style and iron wrinkles in life. If there is less to think about you can put that part of life on a shelf. A lot of these people run on schedules and rhythms. most of these same people couldn't handle having to do anything on a moments notice. change in schedules would be utter insanity.

but hey if they are comfy... so am i :)

people are comfortable with what they know. one of mans greatest fears is the unknown. theres the logic. i will try almost anything once, and its gotten me into a lot of trouble. sodas are just the start of a snowball headed for hell. soon youll try other things and decide you like them, but that isnt enough, so you try something else, and on and on. before you know it, your a heroin addict that worships the devil. then comes rehab and deprogramming, all because of a lousy soda. life can be tough.

Different strokes for different folks. Some people know what they like and stick with it. Others are always looking for something new. C'est la vie.
