It can but requires a lot of self control.

The subconscious mind is made up of all the rules and regulations we have been taught as children. hence why bigotry seems hereditary(thank god its not).

this is a voice that constantly monitors your life and its goings on. The conscious mind is typically controlled by the subconcious because when we stray away from anything that is not comfortable or gratifying it rings out loud and clear. fit the rules or get out....

with practice you can stop the world your parents taught you and translate the information for your self. this takes a while. it not an overnight thing. the more you use the muscle the stronger it gets :)

Ha ha ha ha, uh, no. The conscious mind is not even that in most people, the unconscious has total control. They have no idea the motives behind their words and actions.

Hypnosis, extreme practice of self control and behavior therapy can reprogram the mind, but in most cases the unconscious (collection of history and biology) is at the helm.

Your subconscious mind has no access to the outside world, only what your conscious mind tells it. So, information is power. You can change what you believe, but it takes work. Try the book Cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell.

i imagine there is easily 3 - concious, subconcious and unconcious. even as this is achievable to impact the subconcious, the truthfully unconcious factors of your mind (fairly as Fodor describes them - modules to do with undemanding projects (quite than thoughts) like idea, memory, decision making etc) are computerized and impenetrable - they could't be conciously managed.

if a person were hypntized, deep trance, and hypnotist should suddenly become incapacitated, after a while, some hours perhaps, you would fall into a normal sleep and wake up. to me that would suggest that on a subliminal level, the subconscious is subservient to the conscious mind and brain

I personally believe it's the conscious mind that feeds the subconscious mind in the first place. So my answer would be a definite Yes! It gets it's information from everything our senses take in from birth to death.
