Dwight Howard
start with youth, and build around a big man...it will be so easy to put others around dwight to make a killer team, all he really needs is a lights out three point shooter so when Howard gets doubled he can kick it out for the 3 and end each game with a triple double

if i had the first pick i would pick lebron james that guy has defined all odds against in him when he came out of college he single handling took the them to the quarter finals. Now look if i have the first pick it be lebron james and my second round pick must be good too becasue lebron has the age he has the talentt but the talent around him is qeustionable so he'd be the perfect first round pick my second round pick would be a point guard so he can get the ball to lebron and a 3rd pick would be a young but good center sort of like a andris beadrins type

If you mean of all time, I would definitely choose Wilt Chamberlain. The man was a one of a kind and could still be one of the best in todays world and probably be even better than what he was during his prime years since todays technology/equipment has improved greatly and not to mention the new techniques developed since then.
If you mean of todays world, I would probably choose Tim Duncan. If a team has an inside presence, then a perimeter game could evolve.
