so ive been looking around ebay and I see a lot of cheap guitars with no brand, and some other brand names like Ibanez, Washburn, Yamaha, Fender, and Takamine. There are some of every guitar in my price range, but after some research on the brands I am still at a loss about which one to pick. And then there are vintage ones... What do you you guys think?

I am a beginner, but that doesn't mean i want a crappy guitar, I plan to hold on to this one for a long long time.

For a good quality low-priced guitar, try this one: (Ibanez)

This one was my first guitar. Very nice. Try this: (Epiphone)

I recommend this one because of it's great sound quality. I've played this style before, it's great! (Jasmine~Takamine)

Best Acoustic Guitar Under 150

Under $150 and you want to keep it for a long time that's not a bad make? Maybe (JUST maybe) Yamaha or Washburn have some cheap acoustics but Fender, Ibanez and the rest of the big-name guitar makers are probably going to have more expensive ones (that are probably better made by the way).

Otherwise I'd say just take a trip down to your local guitar shop and ask the person there. They may have deals or discounts around this time of year like a year-model clear-out or something like that, but still your prerequisites for this guitar your looking for are a bit overblown in my own terms. I have over 4 years experience with guitars and deals and things and the very minimum for a long-use guitar should be $250; anything less may need lots of work before it can be salvaged come some years down the road. My own $350 electric Schecter that I've had for over 2 years is getting battered up and an acoustic will probably get even more ravaged than that.

An off-brand guitar will be your best choice and perhaps Wal-Mart will be your best source for such an acoustic instrument. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Inexpensive guitars are usually set up with "high-action"; meaning the strings are so much distance from the top of the fretboard that making chords beyond the fifth fret can be laborious--even painful.

Such a guitar may be all right for you until you can determine how much you want to learn. Too often, people will buy a guitar thinking they'll be playing in an hour's time. When the fingertips start to hurt beyond belief and no seemingly progress is made within a week, many would-be players give up.

The test is of time and callus building, perseverance and practice.

I was in your boat about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I started out buying a guitar that was "cheap" but looked high quality. I ended up having to buy another one because my guitar teacher quickly recognized it was no good. So, I bought another "cheap" one at a higher price. The best thing to do if you plan on keeping a guitar for a long time is to truly invest in it. You will not find a good quality guitar that will last for under $150. And, I wouldn't waste your time on E-bay because used guitars could have replaced parts that you don't know about and the ones people sell for cheap that have brand names on them could be fake. My friend once bought a guitar on E-bay for a penny haha..but it looked perfectly good, but it wasn't. I would find a good name brand guitar in a guitar store (I wouldn't buy one online, because you should test it out, not all guitars are made the same) and have someone help you pick one out that fits your budget. There are some great ones under $300. This is one of those instances where the brand really does equal quality...most of these companies have been around for a long time and have a lot of loyal customers because the craftsmanship is impecable. Hope this helps.

p.s. I would personally stick with Fender, I made that investment and it was more than worth it.

I bought my first guitar for exactly 150 bucks. It was a Yamaha FG series. I'd say that's about as good as it gets at that price. Not a fantastic sound, but good enough. It lasted me ten years before I upgraded.

Whatever you do, don't buy one of those things off the shelf at Wal-Mart or Target. You will certainly get what you pay for. Head to a music store for this purchase.

I'm a professional. I bought a Wal-Mart First Act electric guitar and I have played it on stage. It's surprisingly good. I don't know about their acoustics, but it's worth looking into.
Take an experienced guitarist with you if you know one. Name brand is often overrated.

La mayoría de los juguetes que he comprado para mi hija son de sitios web y después de comprarle un piano de juguete no podría faltar una guitara, como con los otros productos no tengo nada que reprochar, buena calidad, excelentes canciones y además muy resistente, una buena compra.
