Jack Russell, Gordon Setter, that guy called St. Bernard, and some Dane.

Dogs taste test dog food. They know it is beef stew flavor because that is the flavoring that is added.

Senior citizens and others on very low fixed incomes have been eating pet food for years (it's a heckuva lot cheaper than the "people" stuff!). And the pet food companies probably base the different flavors on sales results! (I bet beef stew is real popular!)
I suspect there must be some "official" people taste testers somewhere along the line because many different brands of pet food contain SUGAR. Animals don't need refined sugar (any more than people do) or other artificial flavorings or colorings. Weird!

Some of my friends like dog food, so they probably hire people like those to taste them. Then, the people tell the makers what they taste like, although I doubt dogs will care if it is beef stew flavor.
