I have already entered many contests, digests, poems, etc. Just looking for other ways to enter into the industry from real publishers, agents, or companies.

Search for publications you like, and contact their editors. I would start with smaller publications. Send them queries regarding what you would like to write, and see if they will publish you. There are many sites on the net that might lead you to what you are looking for:

http://www.writersdigest.com
http://www.absolutewrite.com
http://www.writing-world.com
http://www.fmwriters.com

I am a member of http://www.newbie-writers.com and there is a Calls for Submission topic in the forum there with many listings.

Good luck!

Besides poems, you didn't say what type of writing you're doing.

If you're writing news articles, then submit your work to newspapers or magazines along with your portfolio. They always need content.

If you're writing fiction, submit it to literary agents. If it's a good story, it's in their interest to get you published. There's no secret to it. Good storytelling sells.

Poetry is a different matter. There is tons of poetry out there. Simply market yourself and offer it to newspaper and magazines. If they like it, they'll publish it. They probably won't pay, though. But you'll eventually build a portfolio of places you've been published and as you continue to write and submit to more place you'll be taken more seriously.

So, it's all about marketing yourself and starting small.

there are various contests that do require a cost so you might head into memories right into a contest. i've got seen issues working from approximately $10 and upwards. regrettably there are various scams, so except you'll be beneficial that this contest is valid, i might sidestep it. i think of author's digest has some competitions happening, and you will possibly get greater data on those, besides as help on making your guy or woman paintings greater effective, by way of their internet site. a short tale is often under 2,000 words. i might say that someplace around seven-hundred to a million,000 may well be approximately familiar nonetheless.
