Yes we will still be competitive and may even remain at No:1. But it will of course be difficult and we wont dominate the way we have for the past two decades. Martyn has a more than adequate replacement in Michael Clarke and McGrath a good one in Stuey Clark. Naturally no one can replace Warney! The World's best ever bowler is a generational if not once in a century occurrence! In the immediate future I guess the forgotten man in Stuey McGill will fill the vacancy unless they opt for youth in someone like Cullen. Don't be despondent we will still be a top side even whilst rebuilding!
Go the Green & Gold!!!!

Yes.
Regardless who retires Australia has enough good first class players to compete well against any other nation.
Already there are sufficient bowlers lined up to take the place of the two great champion. Who know in future we may be hailing their replacements as great champions.
There is also sufficient batting talent to more then compensate for the retirement of the elder batsman's who incidentally seem to be losing their edge a little.
All of the recent replacements to the team have proven their worth to the degree that one wonders is they should have been drafted into the team earlier.
Hussey and Clark and the perfect examples of why players should be replaced when they are getting past it.
Older players, regardless of who they are, must allow new talent to emerge, particularly if that talent is significant.
The Aussies will always be champions because they think and act like champions. They have self belief and a champions heritage.

Yes they will still be competitive but they are still bound to struggle without the two great bowlers. Stuart Clark goes into McGraths shoes nicely but the problem is replacing Warne and the Australians will struggle without the gretaest leg spin bowler in the world.

i would say yes they can, with Stuart Clarke fitting into MC graths spot quite nicely and Michale Clark finding some good form to replace Martyn. Warney will be a huge loss but saying that he hasn't played in the one day side for a number of years and if we can find someone half as good we will be ok,we have a number of quicks i.e Shaun Tait,Mitchell Johnson etc and plenty of good up and coming batsmen if needed.

Since presently they have sufficient bench strength they will be able to maintain their present status even after the retirement of Warne, mc Grath and Martyn. However, once Ponting, Hyden,
Langer and Gilchrist retires, they will not be able to hold the present position.

well martyn leaving will affect the odi team but australians have a knack of producing good, solid middle order batsmen. similarly warne wont be missed in the odi's but for the tests the effect is one which its better not think about.
coming to mcgrath, we saw what happened in england when he wasnt there didnt we.
