No, I try to focus on what they are saying and think about that. If I only listen to myself then myself is all I get.
People are precious and what they say helps me learn who they are. Not paying attention is like being given a beautifully-wrapped gift and never bothering to open it and see what treasures are inside.

Sometimes the people that talk the most have the least to say..they talk to be talking and have nothing intelligant to say, those kind of people are background noise for my own thoughts, but i do love to hear interesting people talk.

it depends. sometimes i totally listen to what they have to say. othertimes, they are just background noise for my thoughts. it's hard to say where the line is drawn, though. for instance, listening to others may put thoughts in our heads, but are we sure we wouldn't have thought that unless the other person said what they said (if that made any sense at all)? that's a really good question though and i can't wait to see what others think.

I hear back ground noises all the time with or without people around, it's like this musical that never ends and for sme reason burping lots of burping

Ever heard the saying going in one ear and out the other. lol. I think you are right Because anytime I am listening to someone talk its like all Iam thinking which are my thoughts is shut up so I can speak.

LOL, yes. I try my best to listen but theire voice is always overlapped with a thought of my own.

they are just small voices trying to make a decision for my own voice...most of the time i block them...
