If you are accustomed to monitoring your cervical mucus, you can check that. Here's a great site with some information to help you.

Other than that, I think some women experience mild cramping on one side of their abdomen (depending on which ovary the egg comes from that month) or mild bloating, but I never have.

I would just suggest monitoring and calendaring your cervical mucus for a few months and that should give you a clue. You know you're body best.

You do not ovulate 14 days after your period starts, you ovulate 14 days before you new period start so it depends on your cycle. Day 1 is the first day of your period. If you have a 28 days cycle then yes you ovulate on or around day 14. if you have a 26 days cycle then you ovulate on day 12. A 30 days cycle you ovulate on day 16.
There are several indications, your cervical mucus looks like raw egg whites, some women feel a sharp pain.
The best way to know if you are trying to get pregnant is to get an ovulation monitor.
I hope this helps.

The fertilized egg then travels down the fallopian tube and embeds itself into the lining of the uterus. as quickly because it attaches right here, a girl is seen pregnant, nonetheless maximum exams will nonetheless take yet another couple of weeks to discover the being pregnant. Hey! It is really hard to tell.. I mean, there are tons of ovulating kits out there that are suppose to be so and so accurate, but i believe the real answer is, its not in your temperature rising, or your vaginal fluid thickness..there is really no way to tell. My co-worked tried for 8 years to get pregnant, and tried every ovulation kit in the world, and they all weren't successful, thats why its such a miracle and act of God! There is really no 100% way of determining ovulation.

Their are many methods people use. Some of us can tell by a slight pinch or feeling in the tummy, others use the temperature method. There are monitors you can buy that will test when you are ovulating and they are not very expensive. Best shot is the monitor. You can get it at Wal-Mart.

Ovulation occurs around day 14 of the cycle, in response to a surge of luteinizing hormone (LH) when the egg is released from the ovary.
