I filed for my divorce on August 23, 1993 and it wasn't final until a year to the date - August 23, 1994. Funny that!

Seems like everything takes longer to get accomplished in California....what's up with you people out there? In my State, NY, if the divorce is uncontested and no children involved, both parties can walk into the courthouse, file the paperwork, pay the $80 fees and be divorced within a month!

In CA an appmt is necessary to get a driver's license. Perhaps an UNpopulated area would get things accomplished is less time.

Mine took 18 months, but that's because HE would not show or acknowledge. The judge finally made the decision for him!

Well there seems to be an error on the documents because it shouldn't take that long. Your lawyer should have seen it when he got it and told them about it. Man that tells you how good your lawyer is. Next time when you see a mistake like that just take it up to the lawyer and if he doesn't do nothing about it get another one. But I don't see why you waited this long to see it. But if you need to chat just IM me anytime
