You should get a tutor BUT if there's financial problems then should get a friend or classmate who's good at maths to help out. If that still is a problem you should ask a teacher. Explain to your tutor/teacher/friends/classmate what you don't understand. I used to hate maths as well (because I wasn't as good at it as some of my friends). But now I got an A recently. But trust me if your not sure about getting help you should because this will help you if you wanna get a good job.

Oh believe me math was my WORST subject in school. I hated it with a passion. But my dad would have killed me if i got bad grades. I always asked a lot of questions in class and after. I'm sure your teacher will be willing to help all he/she can. If you still don't get it then maybe you could get a tutor. Sometimes if someone your own age explains it to you, you might be able to understand more. Good Luck!

Can you talk to your teacher and ask him/her to explain it in a different way? Many times your learning style and that of your teachers are different and this can make it hard for you to learn and for the teacher to teach. Also, I used to hate math, but I am learning to like it. It is like solving a puzzle or a riddle. You need to go back to wherever you were first getting confused and relearn that math because it is like a staircase...to get to the top you have to take one step at a time. Also, do a "give me 5"...draw a picture, put down words and explain how you arrived at your solution, use symbols, and solve it with numbers. There is a lot to math. Good luck.

Take pre-algabra. and memorize the roles.
It will educatate you in a different way that may help you more then what you learn before.
Basic algabra helps break up a problem in small steps.
You really had a little of it when you were ask?
1 + square = 2
In algabre it's
1 + a = 2
you put your unknows on one side of the equal signs and your knowns on the otherside, by doing the same thing on both side of equal.
in this case you subract 1 on both sides of the equal sign
a (square) is equal 1

ask for a math tutor.
